description - "Points of Departure" is a series of videos
that investigates the airport as a cultural space. The editing explores
cinematic strategies of continuity to create a sense of cohesion out of
dislocated times and places. The video footage draws from observational
cinema but is edited to weave in an out of personal journey, surveillance,
performance, documentary and constructed narrative. The videos explore
time, waiting, anxiety and the relentlessness of travel at points of departure.
